HIROKI TAMAKI's Profile

Born in Kobe, Japan 1943. Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Violin major. I started composing at age of 10 and had been a member of The Tokyo Symphony since I was student, but I escaped from it because I couldn't become familiar with a group working together. Dropped out with the doubt of the classical music which lean to the equal temperament too much.

I became a Naozumi Yamamoto's pupil, learned composing and conducting, started working for the movies and TV, etc. Meanwhile, I had organized and played in a string quartet, not only for Classical but also Jazz and Rock with all electric instrument. As a recording work, the symphony for 7 synthesizers and full orchestra, "Kumoi no Hototogisu" (before the MIDI) became a topic as a live recording. The practice suite for piano "Yamanote line" and many others.

Many other works for TV programs and the commercials, about 1500 pieces.

Sticking to the pure temperament for 30 years, the first CD in Japan made of the pure temperament: "Ideal stress releasing by Pure temperament music" released from Sony. Also, many other CDs.
